Unfortunately we receive a lot of "bounced" emails.

Supercharged 1959 Mini

Another famous 59 has been snapped up by yet another motoring journalist, John Simister has Bought LSK 706 the Cherry Red Shorrock Supercharged 59 off another register member. John is also friends with Richard Bremner and again sights Richards purchase of 108 as a factor in buying LSK 706.

John writes,
“Its history is complex but genuine. It spent a while in the 1990s as a kind of Cooper replica, in green with a white roof, but when Perry Shaw restored it he brought it back to its original look. It still seems to have virtually all of its 1959 specific features, which is great.

It made an interesting contrast to the Farina Grey Austin basket case, recently for sale on the 1959 register, that is the third-oldest surviving Austin (is that right?) that three friends of mine have bought. Last Monday one of those friends and I went to visit it in its hideaway in my new toy. It was quite surreal.
